Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter who can interpret carpentry shop drawings, take site measurements, and manufacture and assemble all joinery items and furniture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in the UAE and will be proficient in the proper and safe use of various machines and tools. A valid UAE driving license is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction and Installation:
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand tools and power tools.
- Manufacture and assemble joinery items and furniture according to detailed shop drawings.
- Finish and install all joinery items with the utmost quality, ensuring snag-free results.
Blueprint Interpretation:
- Read and interpret carpentry shop drawings, blueprints, and sketches to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Take accurate site measurements to ensure precise manufacturing and installation.
Material Management:
- Calculate material quantities from drawings to ensure optimal use of resources.
- Follow best practices in manufacturing to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of materials.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards in the use of machines and tools.
