Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Design Engineer / Draftsman for a MEP design engineer position at an Interior Fit-out company based in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design and drafting work for a variety of MEP systems, including HVAC, Ventilation, Chilled water, plumbing, drainage & fire fighting systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in the UAE, and proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and other relevant MEP design software.
Key Responsibilities:
HVAC & Ventilation Design:
- Develop and design HVAC and ventilation systems based on project requirements.
- Perform machine selection for HVAC systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance.
- Create detailed ducting drawings and specifications.
MEP Systems Design:
- Design and draft plumbing and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Design fire fighting systems, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and cohesive design solutions.
Software Proficiency:
- Utilize REVIT for 3D modeling and MEP coordination.
- Produce detailed 2D drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
- Leverage other MEP design software and tools to enhance project accuracy and efficiency.
Project Coordination and Management:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure design compliance and address any issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
