### Job Title: Planning Engineer

**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with over 8 years of expertise in infrastructure projects, specifically roads, sewage, storm water, and utilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning, scheduling, and management within the infrastructure sector.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Project Planning and Scheduling:**
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for infrastructure projects.
- Ensure project timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
- Utilize planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to create and manage project schedules.
- **Progress Monitoring and Reporting:**
- Monitor project progress and performance against the project plan.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- **Coordination and Communication:**
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and review sessions to track progress and address issues.
- Maintain clear and effective communication among all project participants.
- **Risk Management:**
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize their impact on project objectives.
- **Cost Control and Budget Management:**
- Prepare project budgets and track expenditures.
- Ensure project spending remains within budget limits.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and implement cost-saving measures.
- **Quality Assurance:**
- Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee quality control processes and implement quality management plans.
- **Compliance and Safety:**
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and local authority guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement safety measures as required.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in planning and scheduling infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure project management, including roads, sewage, storm water, and utilities.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP).
