We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor will be the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring seamless communication, providing expert guidance, and facilitating the smooth execution of vehicle repair and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly, establish rapport, and actively listen to their concerns and vehicle issues. Provide professional assistance and explanations regarding recommended services, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with team leaders and workshop supervisors.
  • Collaborate with customers to obtain necessary approvals for the work to be performed on their vehicles. Clearly communicate the scope of work, including details and associated costs.
  • Technician Coordination: Effectively communicate job details to technicians, ensuring clear understanding of tasks and accurate execution of repairs and maintenance. Address any technician inquiries or clarifications as needed.
  • Create detailed and accurate job cards outlining the required services and repairs. Include relevant vehicle information, parts needed, labor estimates, and anticipated completion times.
  • Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their vehicle repairs, including any unexpected findings or delays. Maintain open and transparent communication throughout the service process.
  • Calculate and share accurate cost estimates for repairs and services, taking into consideration parts, labor, and any additional charges. Obtain customer approval before proceeding with any additional work.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all interactions, approvals, recommendations, and services provided for each customer and their vehicle.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on completed work to ensure repairs meet the required standards before releasing vehicles to customers.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive overall experience.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as an automotive service advisor or in a related customer service role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient service coordination.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components, including routine maintenance procedures and common repair issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
