Job Title: Civil Engineer

Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our contracting team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management:
• Plan, organize, and oversee construction projects from start to finish.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Construction Supervision:
• Supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to monitor progress and identify any issues or deviations.
• Resolve construction-related problems and address any issues that may arise during the construction process.
• Contract Management:
• Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and that project deliverables are achieved according to agreed-upon terms.
• Monitor contract performance and handle any contractual disputes or claims.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on civil engineering matters.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Evaluate alternative construction methods and materials to optimize project performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project correspondence.
• Prepare regular project status updates for stakeholders and management.
• Compile project data and prepare comprehensive project close-out reports upon project completion.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in civil engineering and construction management, preferably in the contracting sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes in Dubai is a plus.
