Job Description
· Welding Operations: Perform various types of welding to join metals and fabricate metal structures.
· Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret schematics, and detailed drawings to determine the specifications and sequence of welding operations.
· Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting metal components according to project requirements.
· Quality Control: Inspect welded joints and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments as needed.
· Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of protective equipment.
· Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and performing routine maintenance as needed.
· Problem Solving: Identify and resolve welding issues, defects, and other problems during the fabrication process.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure project specifications are met and deadlines are achieved.
Requirements
· Experience: 2-5 years of experience as a welder, with a strong background in various welding techniques and processes.
Skills:
· Proficiency in MIG/ TIG, and arc welding.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
· Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Certifications: Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are preferred.
· Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
· Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
· Technical Knowledge: Understanding of different metals, their properties, and appropriate welding techniques for each
