Job Description
Our client, a prominent government entity based in Ajman, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager for Ethics & Compliance and Corporate Governance. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a newly established department and directly support the General Counsel. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing essential procedures, policies, and processes related to graft and corruption, whistle blowing, conflict of interest, bribery, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the Ethics & Compliance and Corporate Governance department.
- Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures to ensure ethical practices and compliance with regulations.
- Lead initiatives to address graft and corruption, whistleblower protection, conflict of interest, and bribery.
- Collaborate with analysts and other business units to ensure cohesive and effective governance.
- Provide expert advice and support to the General Counsel on all matters related to ethics and compliance.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria
- A degree in any relevant field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in ethics, compliance, and corporate governance roles.
- Relevant certifications in ethics, compliance, or related areas.
- Experience in industries such as engineering, power and energy, oil, or property development is highly desirable.
- Exceptional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a newly established department, demonstrating initiative and innovation.
