Job Description:
Architectural engineers analyze building and site to create design and develop this design in order to increase efficiency, decrease costs, and enforce adherence of building codes and regulations then follow the project during under construction to manage comply of deign within the budget on time
Responsibilities:
· Designing, analyzing and develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building’s usage and environmental impact and Keeping within budgets and timelines.
· Checking the Client Requirements & prepare the Feasibility Study.
· Prepare an initial Concept design & site development.
· Prepares proposals for design work including sketches and cost estimates
· Performs general architectural works including architectural design, site visits and inspections and prepares related reports.
· Makes new proposals and/or modify existing drawings when necessary. Ensures compliance with applicable codes and standards as well as client requirements.
· Design development drawings for the selected schematic design.
· Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers.
· Prepare calculation of the Efficiency / Profit of the project
· Ensuring building plans, prototypes, and structures are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
· Establishing Policy, procedures, Project goals and assisting team member with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
· Identifying and solving problems in building plans, prototypes, and structures.
· Ensuring that the project constructed as per design , project specifications and client requirements
· Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
· Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
· Monitor employee productivity and prepare KPI reports for Project and members
· Site evaluation, analysis and impact of existing & / or proposed development on its immediate environs & Identifying and solving problems.
· Prepare the Areas Calculations (BUA,GFA & others)
· Co-ordinate technical documentation, drawing, services & the work with Structure and MEP.
· Prepare the Final Tender Documents (Specification, drawing) & Prepare documentation sufficient for authority submission.
· Should be familiar with Dubai Authorities Approvals.
· Co-ordination with other departments concerned at various stages of the project
· Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
· Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
· Coordinate Architectural/Engineering activities with those of other disciplines and project management team within the Engineering Department.
· Prepare quality and presentation conscious technical correspondence, reports, and studies
· Review, verify and approve all contractors’ architectural material submittals complying with the project specifications, approved drawings, applicable code, standards.
· Review, Verify and approve prequalification documents of manufacturers and suppliers.
· Witness’s contractors’ material selection, installation and quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent and finishing works are constructed according to the contract, applicable codes, standards, approved drawings and specifications and as per client request
· Reviews contractor-submitted architectural shop drawings, material submittals, interiors and exterior finishes, mock-ups, landscaping, and coordinates with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and/or comments.
· Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site. Reviews, approves, and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others related to the architecture
· Assists in coordinating the compilation of technical portions of Requests for Proposal (RFP) for both the design and construction portions of assigned projects.
· Review Contractors daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation and reports.
· Assist management with all Architectural issues raised on site.
