Job Description

To frequently monitor the equipment by inspecting the floors throughout the shift.

To ensure your team is frequently monitoring the floors throughout the shift.

To ensure that the correct blend, condition, and feed rate of wheat is set for the

milling units.

To ensure that capacity is maintained, any reduction or loss of capacity is reported

and addressed as timely as possible.

To ensure that the milling equipment set up is as per requirement to maintain the

desired outcomes in terms of product specification and output rates.

To ensure that regular checks are made throughout the shift to verify and record

equipment setting and sample collection supporting equipment performance.

To ensure that all the mill documents are aligned with FSMS, and audit requirements

are addressed during your shift.

Being an active and forthcoming FSMS team member, take active participation in

FSMS internal audit, coordinate with your shift staff to follow the FSMS regulatory

requirements and always update the staff with current FSMS requirements.

To ensure that key flour streams are monitored, and online product specification are

in line with requirements.

To ensure that the equipment is operating properly, and address or report suspected

imminent failures in advance to minimize any unplanned lost time.

To ensure that all filter equipment is operating effectively, reporting any failure,

ensuring the there is NO fugitive release to atmosphere.

To ensure that the production schedule is adhered to, and production targets are

met as planned.

To ensure that all stocks leaving the mill are directed to the correct finish product

bins.

To document and record all information (e.g., weigher reading, quality control

reading etc.) as directed by management ensuring a complete and comprehensive

account of your shift’s performance detailing any anomalies experienced.

To report all major machinery malfunctions, or loss of effectiveness.

To be able to calibrate and adjust measuring equipment as directed to ensure

reliable and accurate recording or metering.

To do regular sifter, purifier and filter maintenance, or any other job directed.

To assist and support engineering teams in rectifying breakdowns and to ensure the

timely restart of the production unit.

To meticulously record timings of unplanned mill stoppages and call out time of each

occurrence.

Taking samples for analysis every two hours, or as directed by management.

To record and report all product spillages along with the reasons for the said losses

during your shift.
