Job Description: Quantity Surveyor (QS) - Civil
**Location:** Dubai, UAE
**Experience:** Minimum 8+ years in Oil and Gas Projects with Tank Farm Experience
**Availability:** Immediate joiner preferred
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Cost Management:** Oversee and manage project costs from the initial estimates through to the final accounting, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
- **Quantity Take-offs:** Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all civil works related to oil and gas projects, specifically tank farm projects.
- **Contract Management:** Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Valuation:** Conduct valuations and prepare progress claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to clients.
- **Variation Analysis:** Analyze and evaluate contractor's variation claims, providing recommendations for approval or rejection.
- **Financial Reporting:** Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts, highlighting any potential risks or issues to senior management.
- **Tendering:** Participate in the tendering process, including preparing bills of quantities, evaluating bids, and recommending contractors.
- **Site Visits:** Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, verify quantities, and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- **Dispute Resolution:** Handle any disputes or claims that arise during the project, working closely with the legal and project management teams to resolve issues.
- **Compliance:** Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil works, specifically within oil and gas projects.
- Extensive experience with tank farm projects, including naphtha and crude oil tanks.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, budget management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools.
- Good understanding of FIDIC and other standard forms of contracts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Experience working in the UAE or GCC region.
- Professional certification such as RICS or equivalent is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software.
