We have an open role for Position Title_Lead Procurement Engineer - Hospitality with a well-established group in Riyadh, KSA.

The Lead Procurement Engineer for the hospitality interior sector will play a critical role in sourcing, procuring, and managing the acquisition of materials, furnishings, and fixtures necessary to bring our interior design concepts to life. Your primary objective will be to ensure the timely procurement of high-quality products while optimizing costs and maintaining supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Procurement Planning:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
  • Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify potential vendors and product offerings that meet design specifications and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with design and project management teams to understand project timelines, specifications, and material requirements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with suppliers to optimize value, minimize risks, and secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track key metrics, and address any issues or concerns in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Procurement Operations:
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and purchasing to delivery and installation, ensuring compliance with company policies and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to coordinate inbound shipments, inventory management, and distribution of materials to project sites.
  • Implement procurement best practices, streamline processes, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Work closely with design and quality assurance teams to establish and enforce material standards, specifications, and quality control measures.
  • Conduct inspections and quality audits of materials and furnishings to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Address any quality issues, discrepancies, or deviations from specifications in a proactive and systematic manner, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Cost Management and Budgeting:
  • Monitor project budgets, track procurement expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and value optimization.
  • Analyze pricing trends, market fluctuations, and currency exchange rates to forecast procurement costs and mitigate financial risks.
  • Provide regular budget reports, cost analyses, and recommendations to project stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, interior design, supply chain management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the hospitality or interior design industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and supplier management practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
