About the Role

This is a full-time role for Senior Estimation Engineer located in Kuwait City. As a Senior Estimation Engineer, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase of projects by providing accurate cost estimates and technical proposals. You will lead a team of estimators and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop comprehensive and competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction based estimation / tendering and proposals, with a proven track record of successfully bidding and winning projects.
• Strong understanding of industry methods, materials, and costs, as well as reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in construction software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid, AutoCAD, Primavera) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimation process for construction projects, including reviewing project specifications, drawings, and other bid documents.
• Analyze project requirements and develop cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing calculations.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals and bid documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop bid strategies and value engineering solutions.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project budgets.
• Research and evaluate alternative materials, methods, and technologies to achieve cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information, clarify scope of work, and resolve discrepancies.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations to gather project information and establish rapport with clients and consultants.
• Supervise and mentor a team of estimators, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the estimation team, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
