Job Overview:
We are on the lookout for a field-based car buyer / used car purchaser with a solid background in automotive practices and exceptional negotiation skills. This pivotal role focuses on the outdoor sourcing, evaluation, and acquisition of used cars, enhancing our inventory to meet the dealership's sales strategy and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outdoor Vehicle Sourcing: Proactively identify and locate potential used vehicles for purchase from various sources, including auctions, private sales, and dealer networks, primarily through fieldwork.
- In-Field Appraisal and Valuation: Perform on-site inspections and appraisals, assessing vehicle conditions and market value to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Negotiation and Acquisition: Negotiate directly with sellers in the field, securing competitive prices while ensuring quality.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain robust relationships with a vast network of sellers to ensure a consistent and reliable vehicle supply.
- Compliance and Documentation: Handle all necessary legal and regulatory documentation for vehicle acquisition, ensuring compliance while working remotely.
- Strategic Collaboration: Coordinate with the sales department and other relevant teams, aligning vehicle acquisitions with broader business goals, facilitated through effective communication from the field.
- Reporting: Deliver regular reports on purchasing activities, market insights, and inventory needs, leveraging mobile technology for timely communication.
Requirements:
- A minimum of three years experience in the automotive purchasing sector, demonstrating a solid capability for field-based work.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and proficiency in interpersonal communication.
- Fluent in Malayalam, Hindi, and English; additional language skills, such as Arabic, are beneficial.
- A professional demeanor, a competitive spirit, and a commitment to meet purchase targets.
- A valid driving license with proficiency in digital tools for remote reporting and communication.
