Job Description

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Capable of leading and supervising a team of welders and training and mentoring junior welders.
  • Ensure all welding tasks are completed to high standards.
  • Troubleshoot welding issues and provide solutions.
  • Maintain and inspect welding equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments on project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor and manage welding project timelines.
  • Conduct quality control checks on completed welds.
  • Prepare and maintain welding documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for welding materials and equipment.
  • Assist in the development of welding techniques and processes.
  • Participate in project planning and meetings.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the welding team.

Job requirements/qualifications

  • 2 – 2 ½ years of proven experience working as a Welding Chargehand within the Oil and Gas Industry in any GCC country.
  • Should possess strong English language skills (Verbal, Reading, Writing).
  • Strong knowledge of welding materials and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
