We are looking for a Civil engineer to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project manager is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.
Job Description:
- Plan the daily, weekly and monthly site-related activities.
- Manage a team of foremen, supervisors and engineers on a daily basis
- Ensure project cost and progress reports are submitted by your team for management review as required.
- Ensure that materials requests are placed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all company resources are being used productively at all times.
- Ability to plan and prioritize projects.
- Ability to carry out verbal and written directions and to communicate them to other employees.
Key points:
- Valid driver's license an advantage
- Must have previous experience working in Qatar (Contracting company).
- Must have experience in managing critical projects.
- Must be proficient in the use of Auto CAD
- Experience with Microsoft project or similar planning software an advantage
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Preferably a graduate of the University of Egypt).
- 5+ years of experience in projects (Preference will be given to Qatar-experienced candidates).
- Ability to manage construction projects (large and small), direct construction crews, and interact with architects, designers and mechanical/electrical engineers in a professional manner.
- Proven working experience in construction management processes and methods.
- Expert knowledge of fabrication, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages;
- Competent in conflict and crisis management;
- Leadership and human resources management skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills
