site civil engineer job description

• Managing parts of construction projects.
• overseeing construction work.
• undertaking surveys.
• setting out sites.
• checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
• supervising contracted staff.
• ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales.
• liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authority employees, architects and other professionals, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
• providing technical advice and solving problems on site.
• preparing site reports and logging progress.
• ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.

Responsibilities

· Managing daily activities on the site.

· Ensuring the subcontractors are following the blueprints.

· Ensuring the raw materials used are as per the specifications.

· Working in collaboration with Engineers, Architects, Contractors, and other team members.

· Providing recommendations on improving efficiency and reducing costs.

· Maintaining the documentation of the construction projects.

· Filing documents to the local jurisdiction as and when required.

· Presenting the reports to the Project Leaders and Executives.

· Adhering to all the environmental and safety standards.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction/ Infrastructure, or a related degree.

· Work experience in the Construction company as a Site Engineer, Civil Engineer, or a similar role.

· A valid driver's license will be mandatory.

· Proficiency in Computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

· Ability to manage tasks as per priorities.

· Amazing project management skills.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to maintain a positive work environment.

· Ability to deal with different personalities and remain calm.

· A hardworking and detailed-orientated individual.

· Ability to work in harsh conditions.

Job qualifications/requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Draftsman within the Infrastructure Pipeline Industry in UAE.
• Preferably an engineering degree or any related professional qualification in a similar field.
• Salary provided as per the experience of the candidate.
