Job Description
The IT Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support across various IT domains, including networking, general IT, graphic design, hardware troubleshooting, SQL language proficiency, and website & social media management. This role will involve maintaining system integrity, resolving technical issues, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize IT infrastructure and operations .
Network Management and Maintenance:
- Configure, install, and maintain network infrastructure at both head office and project sites, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and security at all locations, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
- Implement network protocols and security measures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality across all sites.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and optimizing network performance.
General IT Support:
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users at both head office and project sites, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications across all locations.
- Perform system upgrades and patches at both head office and project sites, ensuring system stability and security.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices applicable to all locations.
Graphic Design:
- Develop and design graphic elements for digital and print media at both head office and project sites, including marketing materials, presentations, and website content.
- Use graphic design software and tools to create visually appealing and engaging designs.
- Collaborate with internal teams at all locations to understand design requirements and deliver creative solutions.
Hardware Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues at both head office and project sites, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Perform hardware upgrades and repairs at all locations, ensuring equipment functionality and reliability.
- Provide recommendations for hardware procurement and replacement based on technical requirements and budget constraints at both head office and project sites.
SQL Language Proficiency:
- Develop and maintain SQL databases at both head office and project sites, writing queries and scripts to retrieve and manipulate data.
- Optimize database performance across all locations, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Troubleshoot database issues and implement solutions to address performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies at both head office and project sites.
Website & Social Media Management:
- Manage company websites at both head office and project sites, including content updates, maintenance, and optimization for search engines.
- Develop and implement social media strategies at all locations to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Monitor social media channels at both head office and project sites, responding to inquiries and comments and managing online reputation.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to IT systems, procedures, and configurations at both head office and project sites.
- Generate reports on IT performance, trends, and issues at all locations, providing insights for decision-making and improvement initiatives.
Compliance:
- Comply with QHSE legal requirements, procedures, rules & responsibilities.
- Administer the company's values on all given occasions.
- Perform any other tasks as stipulated by the Head of Department (HOD).
