Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Administer placement tests to individuals in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure test administration follows standardized protocols to maintain consistency and fairness.
- Provide clear instructions to test-takers and answer any questions or concerns related to the placement test.
- Monitor test-takers during the assessment to prevent cheating or unauthorized behavior.
- Score placement tests accurately and efficiently using designated scoring criteria or rubrics.
- Review test results to identify patterns, trends, or anomalies that may impact placement decisions.
- Generate placement reports summarizing test results and providing recommendations for appropriate placement.
- Communicate assessment outcomes and placement recommendations to relevant stakeholders, such as academic advisors, program coordinators, or employers.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of test materials, scores, and personal information in accordance with privacy regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve placement testing processes, procedures, and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Testing and Measurement, or a related field.
- Previous experience in administering standardized tests, placement assessments, or educational assessments preferred.
- Strong understanding of testing principles, psychometrics, and assessment best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with test-takers and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in scoring and recording test results.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to maintaining test security, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with testing software or assessment platforms is a plus.
