Job Description
We are looking for an accountant to join our growing team immediately. The role will be overseeing the following responsibilities.
- Manage company's books and monitor expenditure and revenue
- Overlook the auditing activities carried out by outsourced partners
- Prepare tax reports and balance sheets
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain strong internal controls
- Guide the company’s accounting efforts and provide advice on how to effectively manage books
- Liaise with admins and other staff members to gather the necessary data for comprehensive books
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Awareness of newly implemented governmental schemes related to accounting
- Perfect understating of UAE accounting, tax and related laws
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Bachelor's Degree appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
Technical skills:
- Bookkeeping
- Proficiency in accounting software usage
- Expertise in utilising QuickBooks
- Tax Returns
- Balance Sheets
Soft Skills:
- Detailed record keeping
- Proactive and adaptive attitude
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
