Job duties and responsibilities
- Material selection, specification, testing, and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Research and analyze potential materials based on cost, performance, availability, and sustainability.
- Evaluate material properties and ensure they meet project specifications and design requirements.
- Develop and implement material testing plans. Prepare specifications and QC procedures for material procurement and installation.
- Inspect incoming materials, conduct on-site testing, and investigate material-related issues.
- Provide technical advice and support regarding material selection and usage. Maintain records of material testing and inspections.
- Recommend improvements for future projects based on field performance data.
- Stay updated on emerging materials and construction technologies.
- Strong understanding of various construction materials and their properties.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations governing material usage.
- Expertise in material testing methods and equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Job qualifications/requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience working in a similar position for any Infrastructure Projects in any GCC countries.
- Preferably candidates with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Candidates having bridge/infrastructure project experience within Abu Dhabi would be an added advantage.
