Arranging municipality inspection for all the foodstuff and meat containers arriving at Jebel Ali port after reviewing all the documents and the FIRS listing ready for the inspector.
Making payments for all the inspections and/or re-inspections to take place with DM through the municipality portal.
Arrange the items as soon as the shipment is offloaded at the designated area and prepare for the inspection for the day of the Municipality inspection.
Make sure all the original Health and/or Halal certificates are submitted to the various Municipality offices (Jebel Ali, DFC & EK-cargo) within 30 days of cargo clearance to avoid any fines.
Arranging Organic certificates, non-GMO certificates, ingredient letters, product source letters, etc. from various suppliers/packers to submit to the DM authorities as per the requirements.
Continuously following up with Dubai Municipality through Food Studies and Food Trade Follow-up emails on the closure of shipments that are being marked with contraventions.
Coordinating with the logistics (air and sea) team for clarification on documentation as well as new updates from Dubai Municipality.
Arranging Arabic labels to be used on certain items that are being readied for inspection for smooth closure of shipment.
Coordinating with meat suppliers for the changes/updates received from DM regarding shipment clearance and certain meat requirements from the Ministry.
Obtaining correction letters from meat suppliers in such cases wherein there’s been a mistake from their end such as dates on health or halal not matching the consignment. Also, make sure they send us the revised packing list before I arrange for the DM inspection.
Preparing FITR as per the DM inspector’s request for those items that are already inspected but not registered. After successfully registering on the DM portal, I also follow up to ensure it is approved and closed.
Creating and maintaining reports of containers for Meat and Foodstuff that are meant for inspection with DM.
Coordinating with DM sample collectors and arranging for the samples requested by following the internal process for stock movement.
