Job duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the carpentry team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings and specifications to execute carpentry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all carpentry work is performed in accordance with building codes, safety regulations and company standards.
- Perform hands-on carpentry work including framing, drywall installation, cabinetry, finishing and other related tasks as needed.
- Inspect work performed by the carpentry team to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Order and manage materials, tools and equipment required for carpentry task.
- Address any issues or problems that arise on-site, finding effective solutions to maintain project timeliness and quality.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
Job qualifications/requirements
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Carpenter Foreman/Engineer in the fit-out Industry.
- Preferably candidates with a diploma or vocational training certificate in related field.
