Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager (Freight Forwarding). The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and leading the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, acquiring and maintaining clients, negotiating contracts, and meeting sales targets. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve set sales targets and onboard new customers.
- Identify and prospect potential customers in the UAE market, including importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, and businesses with logistics needs.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, cold calling, and lead generation.
- Prepare business plans aligned with company services and objectives.
- Assess customer logistics requirements, understand supply chain challenges, and propose tailored solutions.
Customer Relationships:
- Develop and present compelling sales proposals, including pricing quotations and service offerings.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing logistics inquiries, issues, and service enhancements.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Attend industry events to promote services and generate leads.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
- Deliver presentations and sales pitches to clients.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to train and motivate sales teams.
- Experience in structuring market segments and preparing related sales materials.
- Proven success in identifying new sales opportunities and revenue streams.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Experience in evaluating sales performance and implementing improvement strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales and business development in the freight forwarding industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Knowledge of the Abu Dhabi market and industry trends
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Abu Dhabi and in the same industry.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Knowledge of customs clearance and international trade regulations is a plus
