Job Title: Document Controller and Draftsman

Location: Muscat, Oman

Overview:

Mazaya International is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller and Draftsman to join our team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience and a degree in Civil Engineering. This role involves managing project documentation, producing technical drawings, and performing various civil engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Control:

  • Manage and control all project documentation.
  • Ensure all documents are properly filed, maintained, and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely submission and receipt of documents.
  • Maintain document control registers and logs.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company and project standards.
  • Perform regular audits on documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders as required.

Draftsmanship:

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers and project managers.
  • Utilize CAD software to create, modify, and update drawings.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents and plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting standards and practices.

Additional Civil Engineering Activities:

  • Support civil engineering projects by providing technical input and documentation.
  • Assist in site inspections and surveys.
  • Contribute to project planning and scheduling.
  • Participate in the preparation of project reports and presentations.
  • Assist with quality control and assurance procedures.
  • Perform other civil engineering-related tasks as required by the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in document control and drafting.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other drafting tools.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices.
