Overview:
Mazaya International is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller and Draftsman to join our team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience and a degree in Civil Engineering. This role involves managing project documentation, producing technical drawings, and performing various civil engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Control:
- Manage and control all project documentation.
- Ensure all documents are properly filed, maintained, and easily accessible.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely submission and receipt of documents.
- Maintain document control registers and logs.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company and project standards.
- Perform regular audits on documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders as required.
Draftsmanship:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers and project managers.
- Utilize CAD software to create, modify, and update drawings.
- Review and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project scope and requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and plans.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting standards and practices.
Additional Civil Engineering Activities:
- Support civil engineering projects by providing technical input and documentation.
- Assist in site inspections and surveys.
- Contribute to project planning and scheduling.
- Participate in the preparation of project reports and presentations.
- Assist with quality control and assurance procedures.
- Perform other civil engineering-related tasks as required by the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in document control and drafting.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other drafting tools.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices.
