Job Description
The Precast Foreman will oversee the day-to-day operations of the precast production facility and ensure that all activities are carried out efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in precast concrete production, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the precast production team
- Ensure that production schedules are met and that all work is performed safely and efficiently
- Monitor the quality of precast products and ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Train and mentor production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols
- Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to address any production issues
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, materials, and equipment usage
- Conduct regular inspections of the production facility and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safety
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to promote a safe and productive work environment
- Assist with the installation of precast components on-site as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in construction or concrete technology is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in precast concrete production, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of precast concrete production processes and equipment
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Physical ability to perform tasks associated with precast production
