Job Title: Electrical Site Engineer
Experience: 14-18 years (in UAE)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Type: Full-time
** Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Engineering consultancy with post-contract supervision exposure.
Responsibilities:
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and designs to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and project requirements.
- Supervise electrical installation activities on-site, including cable laying, equipment installation, and wiring.
- Should be aware of Local Authority Regulation applicable in Abu Dhabi
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Coordinate and oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. Verify proper functioning and performance according to specifications.
- Identify and resolve electrical issues or discrepancies that arise during construction. Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to implement effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure that electrical work meets design specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, inspections, and tests. Prepare reports and documentation for project progress and compliance purposes.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate electrical activities with overall project objectives and timelines.
- Assess and manage changes to electrical designs, scope, or requirements. Evaluate impacts on cost, schedule, and quality, and communicate effectively with relevant parties.
- Provide guidance and support to other electrical staff, contractors, and site personnel. Conduct training sessions on electrical safety, procedures, and best practices as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Awareness to Local Authority Regulation applicable Abu Dhabi
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in MEP Contracting and / or Consultancy Companies
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
