We are looking for a Head of Sales – Middle East & India to join our company.
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving sales growth? Join us as a Sales Team Lead and take charge of a motivated team, working closely with the VP of Sales & Customer Services to ensure success. The suitable candidate will lead the sales team to grow sales by increasing fleet and product penetration in the assigned area. Driving the team to seek new business opportunities and actively hunt for new customers. Ensure seamless cooperation, collaboration, and communication between other internal stakeholders. Also aim to align customer needs within teams in ensuring effective implementation and execution of plans.

Who you will report to:
The Head of Sales – Middle East & India will report to VP Sales & Customer Services
What you will be doing:
Leadership and Administration:
  • Assertively lead the sales team in day-to-day activities, collaborating with the VP Sales & Customer Services
  • Drive profitable sales growth with current and new customers, supporting the various Sales Teams
Strategic Sales Planning:
  • Define ambitious, measurable Sales Activity Plans for Maintenance Solutions and ensure their implementation and documentation.
  • Support and execute Sales Activity Plans for other solutions through collaboration with the sales team and solutions groups
Customer Engagement and Deal Closing:
  • Be a role model with a proactive, growth-focused approach, extensive customer contact, and a strong deal-closing focus.
  • Regularly update the sales pipeline for Maintenance Solutions to meet targets, leveraging opportunities from existing accounts and new business.
  • Performance and Reporting:
  • Report on account performance and customer development, ensuring corrective actions are taken when needed.
  • Ensure all team members meet weekly customer meeting targets and take action if below the threshold.
  • Monitor customer contract utilization and work with internal stakeholders for optimal return through proactive contract management
Team Development:
  • Evaluate and promote a performance-driven culture within the sales team.
  • Provide feedback, direction, support, and coaching to team members.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings, using sales tools and dashboards, inviting relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Foster an account team approach between internal stakeholders
  • Implement global sales strategies, policies, campaigns, and initiatives in collaboration with solution teams
  • Ensure all customers have approved credit limits and adhere to payment terms and credit exposure limits.
What you need to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marine qualification preferred/ Years of working relevant experience.
  • Preferably international sales experience in technical sales
  • Min 5 years of sales experience
  • Preferably experience from leading a team
  • Must be able to motivate and drive performance
  • Proven communication skills and a good command of the English language (verbal and written)
  • Ability to change and drive change
  • Results oriented and with demonstrated achievements in sales
  • Ambitious and a strong desire for success with a commercial mind-set

  • Sailing or other maritime engineering experience is preferred
  • Experience from negotiations and proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with senior customers
  • Good time management & allocation of priorities
  • IT literate, with experience from working with Excel, MS office, CRM systems etc
  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
  • Curiosity, learnability, adaptability and determination
