Job Purpose

Execute finance and accounts related tasks. The scope of this program includes successfully managing, controlling the financial operations and demonstrating the actual & accurate financial state to the management for review.

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as policies, guidelines and standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with the company’s objectives.

The accountant executes, controls, and oversees finance & accounting operations, audit, VAT, TAX, and TDS processes.

The accountant is capable of forecasting, budgeting, and reporting about profit & loss of the company for specific periods to the management.

He also prepares the balance sheet, assets list, statutory books of accounts, financial statements, cash flow forecast & statement, and credit reports.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day coordination, execution, and progress of operations with operations team, projects team, maintenance team, construction team, contractors, vendors and third parties.
  • In consultation with the Management prepare the necessary reports covering chart of accounts, analytical reports, journals, profit & loss, cash flow charts & statement, executive summary etc.
  • Maintain general ledgers.
  • Direct oversight of monthly transaction and financial close activities, Corporate Accounting policies and IFRS.
  • Preparation, interpretation & presentation of financial reports to Executive Management for review.
  • Ensuring that all expenses, receipts, other requests, and transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted.
  • Responsible for cost control and budgeting.
  • Manage budgets to control costs and provide guidance on budget variances.
  • Prepare prepaid expenses from contractual vendors and handling internal vendor payments.
  • Invoicing and payment follow up.
  • Vendor billing and proper maintenance of their accounts.
  • Proper maintenance of receivables and payables.
  • VAT return submission to the government and claim the refundable.
  • Maintain the sales TAX.
  • Review of reports, analyze of sales and income against actual figures and suggest methods of improving the planning process.
  • Budget control.
  • Coordinate and participate in Projects reviews, meetings and workshops.
  • Keep records.
  • Ready to work in emergency situations.
