Job Description
The Senior ITS Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of ITS devices and systems installed on roads, highways, and other transportation infrastructures e.g. CCTV cameras, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Lane Control Signs (LCS), AID cameras, LPR cameras, LAN/WAN cabinets and communication infrastructure etc. This role involves managing a team of ITS Engineers and Technicians, ensuring the reliability and performance of ITS equipment, and implementing best practices for maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of ITS Engineers and Technicians.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of ITS devices and systems, including CCTV cameras, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Lane Control Signs (LCS), AID cameras, LPR cameras, LAN/WAN cabinets and communication infrastructure etc.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to ensure optimal performance and reliability of ITS assets.
- Coordinate with local and state transportation agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in troubleshooting and resolving ITS-related issues.
- Ensure the safety and security of ITS infrastructure and personnel during maintenance operations.
