Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor proficient in AutoCAD, GPS technology, and other surveying instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, mapping, and data analysis, combined with the technical expertise to create precise drawings and models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Land Surveys:
- Perform accurate land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
- Measure and record precise distances, angles, and elevations.
- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
- Drafting and Mapping:
- Create detailed maps and drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Develop digital models and drawings of surveyed areas.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
- Data Analysis and Processing:
- Analyze survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize surveying software to process and interpret data.
- Generate reports and presentations based on survey findings.
- Equipment Management:
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to surveying instruments.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide accurate survey data.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior surveyors and technicians.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during field operations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in surveying technology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with proficiency in AutoCAD and GPS technology.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other CAD software.
- Skilled in using GPS equipment, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
- Strong understanding of survey data processing and analysis software.
- Certifications: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred.
- Other Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
