We are seeking an experienced Project Finance lawyer to join our clients market leading in team in Oman. With a strong pipeline of work, acting for lenders, sponsors and governments, the ideal applicant will possess global experience in project development, public-private partnerships, and more developed with a recognised international law firm. Regional experience would be ideal but should not preclude high calibre overseas lawyers from stepping forward.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on project finance transactions in industries like mining, power generation, telecommunications, pipelines, transport, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with clients to finance projects in various areas, including electricity, water, energy, mining and transport
- Identify creative financing structures and sources of finance, including banks, ECAs, and funds/private equity
- Provide close counsel and seamless support to lenders, project sponsors, contractors, and public sector clients
- Work on projects from planning, contracting, and financing to development, providing a 360-degree view
Requirements: - 5yrs+ experience in project finance, preferably with a global law firm
- Strong knowledge of project development, public-private partnerships, and financing structures
- Ability to work with clients across various industries and sectors
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions
