Job Description of Accounts and Finance Officer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts and Finance Officer to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with a strong understanding of the UAE's financial regulations and tax laws. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Petty Cash Handling:
  • Manage and oversee the petty cash fund, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of transactions.

  1. Invoice Raising:
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.

  1. Project Budget Calculation:
  • Calculate and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial control.

  1. Receivables & Payables Handling:
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collection of dues and payments to vendors.

  1. Calculations of Project Expense:
  • Monitor and calculate project expenses, ensuring all costs are accounted for and within budget.

  1. Invoice Handling (Client):
  • Manage client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

  1. Invoice Handling (Subcontractor):
  • Oversee subcontractor invoices, ensuring compliance with contracts and payment terms.

  1. Accounting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

  1. QuickBooks:
  • Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and financial reporting, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  1. Daily Expense Management:
  • Monitor and manage daily expenses, ensuring accurate recording and adherence to budgets.

  1. VAT:
  • Handle VAT calculations, submissions, and compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

  1. Corporate Tax:
  • Manage corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.

  1. Contracts Handling:
  • Oversee financial aspects of contracts, ensuring compliance and financial accuracy.

  1. Monthly Report Preparing:
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, providing insights and analysis on financial performance.

  1. Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their financial needs and support their financial planning processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
