- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses) based on patients' needs and preferences.
- Evaluate and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Provide appropriate referrals to ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals for specialized treatments or surgical interventions as necessary.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle factors affecting eye health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records of examinations, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometric practices, treatments, and technologies through continuous professional development and training.
