Job Description
Responsibilities of HSE Supervisor:
- He advises discipline supervisors for their involvement of all HSE matters as :
- Preventing injury to personnel, damage to plant and fire prevention
- Ways to improve existing work methods
- Statutory and contractual requirements affecting HSE at work
- Provision, use and maintenance of protective clothing and equipment
- He ensures of :
- Suitability from the HSE aspect of new or hired equipment
- He inform subcontractors of :
- Potential hazards on work, including advice on the safety organisation and fire precautions required.
He conducts :
- Audits and inspection to make sure that only safe working systems are in operation and that health, safety and fire prevention requirements are being observed
- He maintains contact with subcontractors' HSE representatives in order to co-ordinate and assists the subcontractors in the implementation and enforcement of the HSE programme.
- He advises subcontractors in investigations to determine the cause of incidents and dangerous occurrences and recommending means of preventing recurrences
- He attend regular progress and management meetings, reviewing HSE performance, injuries, damage and dangerous occurrences
- He promotes within the construction group and subcontractors an understanding that incident prevention is an integral part of construction and operational efficiency.
- He liaise with the HSE manager to improve the HSE management system in place.
- He participate for his area/unit in the issue of the HSE activities reports.
