Job Description

1. Production Planning and Scheduling:

  • Work collaboratively with the production team to create streamlined and efficient production schedules that meet customer demands.
  • Supervise the workforce, allocating tasks, setting deadlines, and monitoring performance.
  • Implement the Online Planning System and ensure adherence to company policies for maintaining production records and reports.
  • Oversee the Planning Department to ensure they meet their set objectives by supplying the correct Bill of Material (BOM) and schedules on time to all production areas.
  • Maximize resource utilization and minimize lead times by optimizing production schedules.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Stores, QC, Purchasing and Sales to ensure efficient operations.

2. Quality Management:

  • Ensure that products meet the highest quality standard and customer expectations.
  • Implement and maintain stringent quality control processes.
  • Continuously drive improvements in product quality and manufacturing processes.

3. Inventory and Supply Chain:

  • Oversee inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess or non-moving inventory.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely sourcing of materials.

4. Budget Management:

  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

5. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

6. Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

7. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative measures to mitigate potential risks.
