Job Description:
Our Client is in very urgent need of a Lead SAP FI Consultant for a Project in Oman with the following skills:
Extensive SAP FI and AM experience
Good Functional Financial Accounting knowledge and Fixed Asset Accounting in particular Awareness of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) & Shell Group Financial Accounting Policies (GFAP)
Dealing with multiple depreciation areas
Dealing with Unit of Production depreciation method
Awareness of BW Objectives SAP system, change the current process of asset capitalization and depreciation so as to comply with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Scope Of Work:- This will consist in particular of:
Implementation of the Asset Under Construction functionality and settlement from AUC to assets.
Process of reclassification of items under WIP Implementation of the use of Unit of Production method to calculate depletion for producing assets
Implementation of the use of straight line method at different rate and different starting time (Project completion)
Implementation of Clusters of production / Reserves (Possibility to build the depletion rate calculation in the system)
Data population (conversion) of the asset base. Assisted by in-house specialized resources.
Production of the relevant reports in SAP and BW (the writing of BW queries is excluded from this scope of work as this will be provided by other resource)
Update of the documentation Analysis of the impact on the project closing and completion procedure
The work has to be done in line with the Blueprint design based on other OUs implementation. The scope could be extended to other aspects of the compliance with IFRS if such requirements arise. The specialist would be responsible for planning, delivery and reporting progress. He is required to instruct, guide, advise and support the small team.
