Job Description
Function The Commissioning Electro/Control Engineer will act as deputy and reporting to Commissioning Electro Lead, will be an integral part of PDE Project Team, working collaboratively within the PDE organization, systems, plans, procedures, and methods. The Electro/Control Engineer will be responsible for follow-up of all activities related to the electrification of the Rosebank FPSO, and the Interface between Electro and SAS Control system. The Electro/Control Engineer is also responsible for monitoring the quality of discipline related documentation on design solution and all engineering activities within EPC towards Electro and Control disciplines. The Electro/Control Engineer shall ensure that all necessary information to execute commissioning and start-up is made available from all Contractor side. Commissioning of Electrical Low and High Voltage Systems related to Rosebank Life Extension project through onshore and offshore commissioning phase, including HV- and LV distribution system, small power consumers and downstream subsystem. Electro/Control Engineer shall ensure that the completion system (PIMS) has the necessary data available to execute system and sub-system definition, have P&ID ready for system boundary mark-up for all electro system, and information available to develop commissioning procedures. The Electro/Control Engineer shall also review all FAT- and SAT-procedures and vendor commissioning procedures. Electro/Control Engineer shall also review vendor preservation procedures. A close relation with Engineering, Construction and MC will be required to ensure alignment on plans and progress. Key activities to coordinate will be the interface between electrification and the SAS Control system, boundary drawings for electricity, process data sheets, plans and close follow-up of field activities
Requirements Technical education on Batchelor level or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience within operation, project execution and Commissioning
- Experience from previous Electrification projects is an advantage.
- Operating experience both from the Norwegian continental shelf and international projects will be considered a strong advantage.
- Experience in FPSO redeployment is strongly desired.
- Recent experience of working in a similar role on UK North Sea projects will be an advantage.
- Leadership & interpersonal skills applied to a multidisciplined project team.
- Recent relevant experience in middle east / southeast Asian shipyards is an advantage.
- Organized, Systematic & Flexible • English – fluent written and verbal skill
