We are Looking for a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in tendering and estimation processes with Interior Fitout.
Key Skills:
- Cost Estimation & Analysis: Expert in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, including detailed take-offs, material costs, labor, and subcontractor services.
- Tendering Processes: In-depth knowledge of the tendering process, including the preparation and submission of tenders, evaluation of tender documents, and negotiation of contracts.
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Preparing and reviewing BOQs to ensure they accurately reflect the project requirements.
- Budget Management: Proven ability to establish and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining project quality.
- Contract Administration: Skilled in reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts, including handling variations and claims.
- Procurement: Experienced in sourcing and evaluating suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Risk Management: Adept at identifying and mitigating risks associated with cost estimation and tender submissions.
- Value Engineering: Proficient in value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising on quality.
- Project Coordination: Strong communication and teamwork skills, working effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Tender Review: Analyzing successful and unsuccessful tenders to identify areas for improvement in future submissions.
- Feedback Integration: Incorporating feedback from clients and internal teams to refine cost estimation and tendering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Document Analysis: Reviewing tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities, to understand the scope of work and requirements.
- Cost Estimation: Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for all project elements, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Tender Preparation & Submission: Compiling all necessary documents for tender submission, including pricing, BOQs, and compliance with client specifications.
- Budget and Cost Control: Developing and maintaining project budgets, monitoring actual costs against estimates, and implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Contract Negotiation & Management: Engaging with clients and subcontractors to negotiate contract terms, ensuring all parties' interests are protected.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Identifying and engaging reliable suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Post-Tender Review: Analyzing the outcomes of tender submissions, identifying areas for improvement, and applying lessons learned to future projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all tender and estimation activities comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Typically, a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with a strong focus on tendering and estimation.
