Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Drama Teachers to join our Drama Club in Muscat. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theatre arts, a passion for working with young people, and the ability to create engaging and educational drama lessons. The Drama Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality drama classes, preparing students for performances, and fostering a love of theatre in a supportive and fun environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive drama curriculum tailored to different age groups (9 -12).
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive drama lessons that cover various aspects of theatre, including acting, improvisation, voice, movement, and script work.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel encouraged and confident to express themselves.
- Prepare students for end-of-term performances, showcases, and competitions.
- Provide constructive feedback and individual support to help students improve their skills.
- Collaborate with other staff members to organize and coordinate events, productions, and workshops.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Stay updated with current trends and developments in theatre education.
Requirements:
- Professional proficiency in English
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching drama to children and teenagers, preferably in a school or extracurricular setting.
- Strong knowledge of theatre techniques, styles, and history.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate young people.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for the arts.

- This position is based in Muscat and requires a valid driving license and access to a car.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in directing theatre productions.
- Knowledge of drama therapy or applied theatre techniques.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Familiarity with the cultural context of Oman and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
