Job Summary
The Production Planning Engineer will be responsible to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
► Participate in developing business plan for the production planning department.
► Participate in developing the annual budget for the production planning department and ensure maintaining the costs and expenditure within the set budget.
► Implement the production planning guidelines, policies and procedures and ensure its implementation across the department.
► Prepare daily schedule documents and monitor detailed production, work orders, equipment requirements, labor availability and raw materials requirement.
► Final measurement of job order generation, Installation plan and delivery schedule.
► Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions and collaborate with management in marketing & sales activities.
► Ensure continual availability of raw materials at the plant floor to maintain production without breakdown or non production as per schedule.
► Schedule the production process to minimize the production time and costs, by planning the utilization of production facility and responsible to distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
► Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
► Responsible to conduct weekly production planning meeting with business development and marketing manager, warehouse & logistics manager and procurement manager.
► Prepare and submit monthly/weekly evaluation report to management on execution plan vs actual achieved.
► Responsible to alerts all concerned managers if production variance occurred
► Plan production commitments or timetables for business units, specific programs, or jobs, using sales forecasts
► Examine production job order documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
► Implementation of QMS procedure (Quality Management System) and quality documents and records.
Supervisory
► Provide guidance and leadership to all employees to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure all employees recognize their fundamental role in the section.
► Ensure production operations services are successfully and meaningfully being delivered and are supporting the operations of the industrial sector.
► Delegate operational responsibilities to appropriate subordinates to benefit from smooth running of the section’s operation.
► Responsible for developing a culture which is target and performance oriented
► Develop and implement team development activities and ensure a sound work culture in the respective departments
