Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing technical design and implementation processes, ensuring project success through strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise. This role requires close collaboration with architects, contractors, and project teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet both client and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Implementation:
- Lead the technical design process for architectural projects, ensuring that designs meet functional, aesthetic, and safety standards.
- Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications using architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Review and approve architectural designs, ensuring compliance with regulations, codes, and client specifications.
Project Management:
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of projects.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks related to project technical aspects.
- Manage project documentation, including blueprints, contracts, and progress reports.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and architects, providing technical guidance and support.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure all technical work complies with local and national building codes.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct site visits to ensure that work is being carried out as per approved technical specifications.
- Implement and oversee quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address any technical challenges or issues that arise during construction and provide solutions promptly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in technical engineering within the contracting industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
