Our client, a leading healthcare facility based in Dubai, UAE is currently looking for a Psychiatrist.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following and not limited to:
1. Assessing and treating mental illnesses through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication.
2. Assisting patients to help them find solutions through changes in their behavioral patterns, the exploration of their past experiences, or group and family therapy sessions.
3. Conducting psychoanalysis sessions such as long-term psychotherapy and counseling for patients, as needed
4. Prescribing medications to patients to correct chemical imbalances that cause emotional problems. 5. Providing the full range of psychiatric diagnostic and treatment modalities to patients both inpatient and outpatient settings, sharing the workload with the other Psychiatrists within the Service.
6. If (s)he has completed sub-specialty residency training in child psychiatry, (s)he will be providing outpatient and inpatient treatment to children and adolescents.
7. Taking after-hours and weekend calls in rotation with other staff Psychiatrists.
8. Responding to consultation requests from other services, received either directly or when on-call, by offering clinical advice or assuming full responsibility for the mental health care of the patient.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you need to meet the following criteria:
- A Doctor of Medicine - WESTERN Qualification
- Completion of specialty qualification in the field of Psychiatry as per DHA requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience Post Qualification - CCT or CCST or Irish Board or American Board or Canadian board or Australian Board.
