We have an open role for Position Title -Catering Services Manager - Sports / Events with a well-established Group in Bahrain.
The Catering Services Manager for Sports & Events is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of catering operations for sports events, concerts, and other large-scale events. This role involves coordinating with vendors, managing staff, ensuring quality service, and maintaining client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and experience in managing catering services at large venues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients, event planners, and venue managers to plan and execute catering services for sports and entertainment events.
- Develop detailed event plans, including menu selection, service styles, and staffing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of catering operations at event venues.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of high-quality meals.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage catering staff, including chefs, servers, and bartenders.
- Schedule staff and delegate tasks to ensure efficient operation during events.
- Provide leadership and motivation to the team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Client & Vendor Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
- Act as the main point of contact during events, addressing any issues or last-minute changes.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for catering events, ensuring profitability.
- Track expenses, labor costs, and revenues to provide accurate financial reports.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all food and beverage services meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Monitor guest feedback and make adjustments as necessary to improve service delivery.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering management, preferably in a sports or large-scale events setting.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, food safety, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
