We are seeking a skilled and experienced Babcot & JCB Operator to join our dynamic team. In this combined role, you will be responsible for operating both Babcot cranes and JCB (excavators/loaders) to support construction and heavy lifting operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in operating heavy machinery and be comfortable with various terrain and work environments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Babcot cranes for heavy lifting tasks such as transporting, positioning, and securing large objects or materials.
- Safely operate JCB excavators and loaders to excavate, move, and load earth, rubble, and other materials as required.
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs of machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to safety protocols.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during operation to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all site personnel.
- Assist in general site duties when not operating machinery, including material handling and site preparation.
- Accurately report machine usage, defects, and maintenance requirements to the site manager.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operating both Babcot cranes and JCB machinery.
- Valid heavy machinery operator licenses or certifications.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather and site conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts as required.
