Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Assistant Finance Officer. Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant , the Assistant Finance Officer will play a key role in supporting various financial activities essential to the smooth operation of our resort.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Invoice Processing: Process invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments as necessary to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets. Track expenses and provide regular reports to management on budget variances.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses as required by management and regulatory authorities.
  • Payroll Support: Support payroll processing activities, including data entry, verification, and reconciliation. Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies. Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement or cost savings.
  • Assist Finance Manager: Provide administrative and clerical support to the Finance Manager as needed, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and organizing documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month

  • Fujairah: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
