Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing has an opportunity for a Manager of International Business Development for Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) in Doha, Qatar. This individual will report to the Senior Director for the International Business Development (IBD) Middle East, North Africa, & Turkey region. The successful candidate will be required to develop win strategies and execute campaign plans that lead to international growth and sales for our defense products, services, training, technical publications, simulations, and global distribution offerings. This individual will interface with a diverse and geographically dispersed team of Business Development professionals around the globe and will manage and lead a team of Business Development professionals, driving the team to meet or exceed sales goals.
The individual will work closely with business unit International Sales managers representing the primary BDS product families (Air Dominance; Vertical Lift; Mobility, Bombers & Surveillance; and Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems); as well as with the Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) entity of the International Government Services business unit within BGS and Boeing Global. The individual will provide service as the 'voice of the customer' to understand and prioritize customer requirements, drive the product development process to meet customer needs, understand customer acquisition processes and budget cycles, influence the opportunities the team pursues, and set the course for BDS & BGS growth over the next 10 years. The individual will support internal processes to include strategic business planning, New Business Fund (NBF) planning and execution, and all requirements of Boeing's Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP), as well as manage the administrative requirements associated with managing and interfacing with a dispersed team. The individual should be knowledgeable of Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Cooperative Programs processes, as well as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The individual can expect to travel both domestically and internationally in this position. Successful candidates will possess a record of outstanding performance in positions with ever-increasing responsibility.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Leverage resources and knowledge of Boeing products, services offerings, distribution capabilities, data management, training, simulations, and technical publications processes and operations to support customer commitments and confidence, shape customer needs and expectations, and gain competitive advantages while fostering business growth.
Meet and/or exceed annual LRBP targets and shape pipeline opportunities three to ten years out.
Develop strategies based upon in-depth knowledge of customer business, culture, geopolitical environment, acquisition processes, budget cycles, and requirements to shape emerging customer requirements. Leverage Boeing capabilities and work with core functions to qualify future pipeline opportunities.
Accountable for helping set priorities from a sales and resources perspective for products, international services, training, and distribution programs while effectively managing and planning investment funds (Market Assist, Business and Proposal, and IBD budget allocations) accordingly.
Leads a diverse group of sales professionals who pursue sales and campaign activities through executing strategies and tactics to foster business growth. Support Campaign Team Leads to help secure win. Drive functional excellence for Global Sales and Marketing globally.
Build strategic relationships with customers and international partners. Build an understanding of the future defense requirements, budgets, planning, and the opportunity for international government and defense procurement globally.
Coordinate sales activities with the appropriate Business Development International In-country Sales Team members to leverage their customer insight and expertise.
Maintain relationship with US Government representatives in region (US Embassy, Office Military Cooperation (OMC) and US Military Training Missions (USMTM).
Accountable for managing relationships with other Business Development partners within Boeing and its subsidiaries, the region, and existing / future customers and partners.
Develops campaign strategy and capture plan for assigned campaigns.
Uses trend, variance analyses and risk assessments and mitigations to develop plans or to recommend change.
Lead Growth Strategy for Boeing Defense in Qatar and Kuwait.
Identify key capture opportunities aligned with Country strategy.
Communicates confidently and persuasively with a clear sense of audience and appropriate tone. Demonstrates logical thought processes in communications. Articulates complex issues in a concise and readily understood manner. Articulates thoughts in a clear, effective and organized manner.
Lead Business Development regular administrative reports (Sales Force inputs, Regular Reports (5-15’s, Bi-weekly, Country and Meeting Papers).
