Job Description

Role: Project Manager

Location: On-Site (Dubai)

Duration: 1 year (extendable based on business requirements)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and verify infrastructure and project requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, and feasibility, ensuring they meet established standards.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of compute infrastructure projects, including servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud computing.
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders (e.g., operations, developers, and senior management) to align project goals and timelines.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with compute infrastructure projects, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Identify and analyze processes, procedures, and work practices, documenting them for standard operations along with project-specific documents required for planning, procurement, design, and implementation.
  • Manage and allocate resources (hardware, software, personnel) effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Track and report on project performance, progress, and key deliverables, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, hardware suppliers) for procurement, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage post-project support and handover to operations or RTB (Run the Business) teams.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of compute environments, including servers, hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and storage solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both Agile and traditional project management frameworks.
  • Manage project budgets, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.
  • Keep all projects up to date in the EPM and Jira.
  • Maintain project status reports for management.
  • Ensure all project documentation is up to date and readily available for reference at any given time.
  • Maintain the project tracker for activities and tasks, along with execution timelines.
  • Maintain a risk tracker and document additional efforts related to projects for management reporting with accurate status updates.
  • Assist with other strategic initiatives and ITC-approved projects in the pipeline.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to work with technology vendors on projects.
  • Work with the IT team to upgrade hardware and software components as required.
  • As a project manager with a specialization in compute, manage and take responsibility for project management, tracker updates, management reports, risk register management, coordination with all stakeholders, ensuring activities are aligned per management guidelines, downtime management, change control, and task execution follow-up.
  • The above accountabilities include, but are not limited to, any additional or new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line manager.
