Job Description

  • Provide consulting and oversight for the development and improvement of financial systems to enhance the efficiency of financial operations and ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
  • Propose solutions for financial applications and processes based on the specific needs and requirements of the concerned entities.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure that government departments comply with policies and procedures for using financial systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of financial applications to ensure their adherence to central financial policies and laws.
  • Research new technologies and innovations that can be applied to improve financial management systems.
  • Study and analyze requests for modifications to financial systems and applications, including determining the nature of required changes and assessing their financial and technical impact.
  • Prepare a user guide for financial systems and applications and distribute it to relevant personnel in government entities.
  • Develop a comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plan related to financial systems and applications, ensuring their readiness and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all issues related to data migration from and to financial systems are properly addressed.
  • Review requests for creating new users and their proposed permissions, ensuring their appropriateness.
  • Review and update the detailed plan for portal development in coordination with partners and relevant entities.
  • Prepare periodic reports on all operations conducted in financial systems and submit them to the Financial Applications Department Manager.
  • Ensure that resource systems comply with all relevant standards and legal regulations.
  • Participate in preparing plans for the smart transformation of programs and projects related to the development and improvement of centralized financial systems for Ajman Government.
  • Provide technical advice to government departments on the optimal use of financial applications.
  • Organize and supervise the maintenance of applications and financial data to ensure their continuous operation.
  • Develop scenarios for data loss preparedness.
  • Review and audit recommendations and improvement initiatives related to the operations of financial systems for Ajman Government.
  • Review periodic reports on all operations conducted in financial systems, ensuring the appropriateness of recommendations.
  • Audit the electronic linkage between targeted entities, clarifying the technical and procedural steps necessary for system integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and advice to accomplish operational activities in line with the department’s performance metrics and objectives.
  • Contribute to identifying the department's strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities.
  • Assist in setting operational goals that align with the management’s operational objectives and the department’s strategic goals.
  • Determine the department's training needs based on its tasks, responsibilities, and performance metrics, ensuring ongoing training and development.
  • Participate in analyzing the department's operations to identify critical activities and develop a business continuity plan.
  • Help identify, analyze, and assess risks related to the department’s operations, and provide recommendations and proposals for risk mitigation; participate in implementing responses approved by the department manager.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned that fall within the scope of responsibility.
