Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate, plan, allocate and monitor the activities of general helpers and civil works tradesman during a designated shift. Enabling preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance tasks to be completed in line with Dubai Airports safety and quality policies and procedures.

Oversee and supervise, contractor works, enabling compliance to internal and external safety and quality standards.

Provide guidance and technical expertise and knowledge to general helpers and tradesman in safety related matters.

Minimum Qualification

• Engineer/Diploma in Civil Engineering (3/4 year duration) or equivalent
• IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or equivalent as an added qualification
• Current valid UAE driving licence is desirable
• Internationally recognized certificate / diploma in Supervisory Management or equivalent is an optional qualification

Skills & Experience

1. Experience:

• Minimum five (5) year experience within a Facility Management or similar environment, at this level within a comparable large-scale operation.
• Background in facility management civil works building and asset inspections

2. Skills:

• Excellent team leading, staff planning and site safety monitoring abilities
• Ability to communicate with staff, stakeholders and customers in oral and written English, to a high standard
• Ability to construct complex technical reports and spreadsheets and presentations using MS Office (Word / Excel / Power point)
• Ability to raise & complete PMS fault report sheets, daily, weekly and monthly utilization reports and CMMS work orders
• Ability to conform to all general and specific technical safety requirements at all times to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work to include:

- Controlling general workplace hazards

- Risk assessment process (method statements / job safety analysis)

- Legal compliance

- Accident prevention

- Personal protective Equipment

- Work at Height

- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health

- Confined Space

- Hot Work

- Issue, receipt and operation of permit to work systems and LOTO

- Manual Handling and Lifting

• Knowledge in the use & interpretation of Local and International facility management standards and Civil Engineering standards & regulations (CIBSE).
• Acts as a role model for all supervisors technicians tradesman and helpers and leads the team by example with consistent attention to detail and quality by demonstrating a "get it right first time every time " attitude to the job.
