LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university Salary from £40,229 to £48,456 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance. This is a fixed term appointment for 24 months. The appointment is expected to commence in November 2024. The Middle East Centre seeks a postdoctoral Research Officer to conduct research on one or more of the Kuwait Programme themes. The post will run for the second and third years of the Kuwait Programme, funded by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and led by Professor Toby Dodge. The Research Officer will design and execute research projects leading to peer reviewed academic journal publications. They will engage with KFAS and the Kuwait Programme, and will contribute to the running of wider Kuwait Programme’s research and events activities. Candidates should have:  Published high quality research on one of the Kuwait Programme themes.  Experience of conducting research in Kuwait or another comparable country.  Significant policy-focussed research experience.
